Ashbourne Beech is working with Asda to deliver a game-changing development on the Isle of Dogs.
Led by RER, Ashbourne Beech have over 40 years experience in designing and delivering place-led developments which create a genuine legacy for local communities.
The scheme has been designed by one of the UK’s leading architects, Piers Gough of CZWG. Piers not only has 30 years’ experience in the Isle of Dogs & Tower Hamlets but has also lived in Whitechapel for many years. With more listed buildings than any other living architect, he and his team are committed to designing and delivering a great development.
The project team has developed the proposals through a place-making approach which combines a broad range of community-focused uses alongside housing to bring forward an accessible and much-needed District Centre to the Isle of Dogs. The proposals show how physical improvements and new amenities collectively offer benefits for communities within Crossharbour, the Isle of Dogs and Tower Hamlets. The District Centre will grow and thrive if local communities see it as a place of their own; the centre will generate energy and activity, create new jobs, provide local access to sports and cultural amenities and stimulate local organisations and businesses.
